Here is a small model i made last year. The basic structure of this model consists a white cuboid and a black box with many square holes. It was intended to be a model that has a glow feeling. However, it doesn't work very well, in many cases, the light from the outside is much brighter than that reflected from the white cuboid. Still, I really like the contrast made with the free space, the black box and the white cuboid. Another interesting part of this model is that the white cuboid in the center feels like floating in the air. I used very thin pins to fix it's position, and covered those pins with black paint. It feels good to see others search for the reason why my cuboid is floating.
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is a famous work designed by Frank Gehry. It has now become a landmark of Los Angeles the city. With stainless steel, Frank Gehry was able to construct the hall's iconic curving looking and make a vivid, eye-catching architecture. I like this curving element a lot, not only for it's beautiful edge, but also for that i believe the curve itself or the different tone reflection made by the curve made this mainly metal constructed building not to be too cold to visitors.
This is a photo i took at manly last year when there was a yacht race between Sydney and Hobart.
The race was pretty quick and far from where i was. So i did not get many good photos about the race. However i did get this beautiful photo about a single yacht. The great ocean+cliff+a single boat just feels so legendary, it's like going to explore the world!!! I wish i was on that boat :)
